Annual Production Sale

The 2021 Annual Online Production Sale was held October 15-16. Go to susantaylorshowservices.com for a recap of the sale and mark your calendar for October 2022 for the next online sale. Specific dates and sale info will be posted closer to sale time. We have some outstanding calves destined for this year’s sale and if the drought continues there will probably be some bred cows also.

Cattle from that sale went many directions here in California and out of state. Genetic test information will be posted soon on the calves that will be in the 2022 sale, so that you can make informed decisions on which ones you want to bid on.

Llanfair's Polgaron

We went into partnership with Virginia Mills on a polled black bull named Llanfair's Polgaron. He was a bull with tremendous conformation and breed quality and sired the basis for our cow herd. Check our sales list for semen available from this outstanding herd sire. The calls for his semen have been numerous nationwide. Polgaron's calves were Grand Champion bull, Champion and Reserve female and high selling female at the 2000 ADCA National Show and Sale in Missouri. He also sired the Champion female at the 2002 ADCA National Sale and five of his calves went to the 2003 National Sale in Oklahoma where we had the highest priced bull and heifer. We had the champion female at the 2005 PDCA Show and Sale. Although Polgaron is gone, he continues to sire some of the highest quality Dexters anywhere. He is heterozygous polled. He also sires red calves.

Glenn Land Mr. Fire Man

Meet Glenn Land Mr Fire Man! It is sometimes difficult to evaluate young calves and predict what they will become at maturity, but in this case Fire Man has a lot going for him at a very early age. First of all he is sired by Llanfair's Polgaron, the bull that put us on the map. From his sire he gets length, muscling, red color, polledness and puppy dog gentleness. From his dam, Glenn Land Tamsen, he gets correct size and good milking to pass on to his offspring. And for those who are into A2 milk, he is A2/A2. His first crop of calves in 2013 were very correct for Dexter type, they were extremely gentle and quite popular in or First Online Production Sale

Special thanks goes out to our buyers!

Nine year old Kriek Prinsloo who traveled the length of the state with his family to haul home his choice of heifers who he named Ms Binky. There were four family members and a Dexter heifer in a very small Toyoto pickup, but as you cans see by the photo below, everyone arrived in Fallbrook, CA safe, sound and happy.

The Prinsloo family made another purchase and took home two more heifers.

Ten year old Olivia Williams of Santa Rosa, CA went against her sheep raising parents and bought a very nice black, polled heifer she named Ms Penelope. Way to go Olivia!

Olivia purchased another heifer, Penelope, who had a heifer calf and Olivia helped us out by taking an orphan heifer calf.  So, now, at 11 years of age, Olivia is a “major” Dexter breeder!

Olivia had the Grand Champion female and the Reserve Champion Junior bull at the 2016 Utah State Fair on cattle of our breeding.
